Everyone's favourite reindeer Robbie is back for all the family to enjoy on Christmas Day.

New to the cast in the third film of the series are Keira Knightley, Ozzy Osbourne, Gillian Anderson, Russell Brand, Graham Norton, Ross Kemp, Shane Ritchie and Michael Palin.

They'll join a returning cast of Ardal O'Hanlon, Jane Horrocks, Harry Enfield, Paul Whitehouse and Sean Hughes.

In the programme Robbie's wedding is halted by the presence of a sinister crystal and his fiance, Donner, is kidnapped by aliens. Robbie must embark on a mission to stop the destruction of the planet by the evil Vorkana, Queen of the Nargathrons.

But with the clock ticking and a best man too love sick to be of any assistance, will our hero rescue his sweetheart and save the world in time?

Just did a reading over the last few days, for the BBC, of "84 Charing Cross Road" with Denis Lawson.

It airs on Christmas Day after the Queen's speech!

Concert for Diana DVD - Available Now

On July 1, 2007 at the new Wembley Stadium "Concert for Diana" was staged in front of an audience of 62,000 and beamed to a worldwide TV audience of many hundreds of millions in over 140 countries. The concert, organised by Prince William and Prince Harry to celebrate the life of their mother on what would have been her 46th birthday proved to be a spectacular success.

The entire concert, and many extra features, is captured on a two disc DVD that contains over 5 1/2 hours of viewing, including personal play list options and a behind the scenes documentary with previously unseen interview footage.

Sitting in the country listening to Kings Of Leon while Oscar eats a jam sandwich. Before that Alicia Keys' new very addictive single No One. Everything's on repeat till we get tired of it, and then another.

Just wrapped "Boogie Woogie" on Friday, one of the funnest set experiences I think I've ever had. Not sure if I've ever worked on such a small budget and yet felt that everything was running smoothly and would be okay. Really great bunch of people. Jacks who introduced me to Leon, well one song in particular and Rosie reminded me of that heartbreaking Damien Rice song on Nine Crimes. Wish they'd hurry up and release it.

Now I know that it's been an age since I last wrote but you know, I don't write that often in the best of times and my head's just not been there and I don't like writing when my head's not there, and I'm kind of doing that today not getting in the groove and it just has to be I guess.

So you all know that the XF film is a go. Haven't even shot it and it'll be released before Boogie. So weird. And before "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People". Even wierder. And in Vancouver which will be strange and wonderful.

Thinking of things I have enjoyed lately. No books in my life. Shame. Stacked on shelves but no time.

Saw Patty Smith and Philip Glass performing to Alan Ginsberg poetry which was a highlight in the last few months and Marion Cotillard's performance in "La Vie En Rose" one of the most extraordinary I think I have ever seen.

I mean what else can I talk about? Can't talk politics, the sad state of things, can't talk feelings, can't talk truth, so what's the point really.

Boogie Woogie

Gillian recently finished shooting 'Boogie Woogie', directed by Duncan Ward.

Muse Productions describes this film as the true to life version of the avaricious, sexually duplicitous contemporary art scene based on the novel and screenplay by Danny Moynihan.

This ensemble piece about the London art world also stars Alan Cumming, Danny Huston, Heather Graham, Christopher Lee, Joanna Lumley, and Charlotte Rampling.
